One of the great features of Control is that if you have a Stripe account, you can make new charges directly from your phone with the help of our mobile app.
- Open up your mobile device and click on Charges in the side menu.
2. You will then be taken to the Charges page and to create a new charge, just click on the Add Credit Card icon on the top right.
3. This will take you to the New Charge page, where you have a couple of options. If you have more than one Stripe account, you can select up top which one you want to use.
You just need to fill out the amount, you can pick which currency you want to charge in and then the Credit Card information below and click Submit.
Alternatively, if you don't want to manually input the Credit Card number, you can also scan it with your phone's camera by clicking on the Blue Camera Shutter icon.
This will then open up the camera option and it will automatically capture the Credit Card's information.
Along with the new Charge, you can have a Pre-Authorized Charge by checking the checkmark below. By choosing "Preauthorize Only" this payment will be processed as an authorization. No funds will be captured, and you will have up to 7 days to capture either the full or partial amount that was authorized.
When you make a new Charge, you don't have to save the Customer's information if you don't want. You will only be able to see the last four digits of the credit card number. But if your business deals with recurring customers, you can also create a Customer profile for them by clicking on "Save as New".
This will take you to the New Customer page where you can fill out the applicable information.
Lastly, if you do have a recurring customer that is already in your system, you can select them by clicking on Select Existing.
This will take you to your Customers list and you'll be able to search and select the correct customer.
