While PayPal is one of the payment providers that we support, not all of their features can be supported at this time through our dashboard. Currently we offer the following support:
Recurring Payment Profile - Full Support
"Recurring payments ensure you get paid regularly and save time and money by eliminating the need for repeated invoices. Recurring Payments are a low-cost way for you to accept credit card and PayPal payments for content site subscriptions, newsletter fees, club dues, or recurring donations." (source)
Payment Standards - Partial Support
"PayPal Payments Standard provides payment buttons as a quick and easy solution for accepting payments. Payment buttons let you securely accept credit card, debit card, and PayPal payments on your website from any mobile device, tablet, or PC. " (source)
Billing Agreement - No Support
"A Billing Agreement allows a seller to charge your PayPal account when you purchase goods from them or use their service. An example of this would be an agreement to pay eBay seller fees for listing items on eBay.
Billing Agreements are different from subscriptions, with Billing Agreements, the amount and time period aren't fixed." (source)
Because of our limited or no support, we can't handle every type of payment, which is why there may be certain information that is not available through our dashboard.
Recurring Revenue support is not a user setting in the PayPal dashboard. It is only configurable through code. There are many ways a plugin can implement it.
We've compiled below a list of Plugins that we currently support:
- WordPress Simple PayPal Shopping Cart
- WP Easy PayPal Payment Accept
- Sell Digital Downloads (with Shopify)
- Paid Memberships Pro (with PayPal)
- PayPal for WooCommerce
- Donations Made Easy – Smart Donations
